About Saul Mcleod

by Saul Mcleod, published

This site is written, designed and coded by me, Saul Mcleod, and I am a psychology lecturer at Wigan and Leigh College.  I have a degree in psychology and have just completed a masters degree in research methods from The University of Manchester.

I started this website in 2007 by uploading some of my teaching notes online to a free website provided by my cable TV company.  During early 2011 I purchased this current domain and transferred all my pages to this new address.  I have redesigned the site (June 2011) to give it a more informal and accessible appearance.

This site was originally designed for A-level psychology students from the UK, but I am now trying to write articles which are accessible to a broad spectrum of psychology students from basic entry psychology programs up to degree level study.  The aim of the site is to write engaging and informative articles in an academic style, but still clear and simple enough to be understood by psychology students of all educational levels.

I am also in the process of including references to research cited in each article.  Please be patient as this will take some time to complete.

Comments and feedback about the site are gratefully received, including any suggestions for future articles.

The site received over two millions visitors during 2011, and hopefully this number will double during 2012.
